Introduction

SnelStart is a Dutch cloud accounting software built for small businesses and the accountants who work with them. It covers bookkeeping, invoicing, financial reporting and VAT, and is built for the Dutch market.

Partner keys

You’ll need your own OAuth2 app, registered with SnelStart.
SnelStart’s conditions for partners:
  • Certification costs €250, one-off and excl. VAT, charged by SnelStart once your integration is certified.
  • OAuth is mandatory.
  • When you register, you must name at least 5 customers who will use the integration.
  • Partner approval is selective: SnelStart can decline an application that does not fit its future product plans.

Register your integration

Create an account on the SnelStart Developer Portal, then fill in the registration form at snelstart.nl/api. Fill it in carefully — the information is reused for your partner page. Your app is created under your developer access and stays valid for 3 months.The form also asks for the webhook URL SnelStart uses to deliver the connection key once an end user authorizes access:
Right after registration, SnelStart creates a unique Production Test App and sends you access to it.

Request certification

Submit the certification form at snelstart.nl/api/certificeren. A walkthrough is available on the Developer Portal, under productiekoppeling. You must be logged in to your developer account to see it.

Pass SnelStart's certification

Certification typically takes about 12 days. During this period, SnelStart runs a technical validation: you must execute at least 100 API calls through the integration while keeping error rates low.

Retrieve your Subscription Key

Once your Subscription Key is granted, log in to the SnelStart B2B API Portal, go to your Profile page, and copy one of the two keys shown under Subscription. The primary key is recommended.

Activate SnelStart in your Chift account

In Connectors, enter your app’s App short name and Subscription Key.

Before they start, your end users need:
  • a paid SnelStart subscription — connections can’t be set up during the free trial
  • an online administration in SnelStart Web, with access to the administration(s) they want to connect
To connect, they:
  • sign in to SnelStart Web and activate the link for the administration(s) to connect — they can pick several
  • if you enabled analytic accounting, choose the Default analytical plan for the connection — SnelStart only has one, kostenplaatsen

Rate limits

SnelStart applies a fixed quota combined with a concurrency cap: the B2B API limits the number of requests per administration, depending on your product type. Limits apply per administration. Chift automatically manages these limits to optimize performance and prevent interruptions. However, once the API rate limit is reached, Chift cannot bypass these limitations.

  • SnelStart has no other analytic plan.
  • An analytic account name is required when creating one.
  • An analytic account name cannot exceed 50 characters.
