In the marketplace model, Chift exposes your syncs through a marketplace where your end-users authenticate and hold their own Chift account. You do not develop anything. You direct your end-users to your marketplace URL, and Chift handles the rest. This is the model that requires the least from you. It is also the only one where your end-users manage their own integrations and read their own execution logs without you building a screen for it.

What you build

Nothing. You configure your marketplace URL in the marketplace detail page of the Platform, then share it with your end-users. Chift creates the accounts, the consumers, and the connections.

What your end-user does

1

Your end-user signs in with Google, or with passwordless authentication. Passwordless sends an email containing a link and a six-digit code.
2

Create an account on first login

Your end-user provides a company name. This name is associated with a group of synchronizations, so a name covering the whole organization works better than the name of a single client.
3

Activate the integrations

Your end-user activates one or more integrations, for one or several consumers. A consumer is an organization or an entity, so one account can manage several of them.
4

Manage over time

Your end-user configures, deactivates, or deletes their integrations, and reads the execution logs to detect errors.
Your end-users can also invite other users into their account, and transfer the ownership of a connection.

When this model fits

This model suits accountants, who manage several client organizations from a single account and need to see the state of each one. It also fits any case where you prefer no development and accept that your end-users hold an account in Chift rather than staying inside your product.

Documentation for your end-users

Chift publishes a help section written for the people who use the marketplace. Point your end-users to it rather than writing your own.
